Margaret Nolan - The Art Mistress (Video)

No comments:
A nice little clip sent to me of Margaret Nolan doing a little strip (No nudity though!) from one of my contacts.  The clip is actually from the 1966 film 'The Great St Trinian's Train Robbery', where Nolan played the 'Art Mistress' for the school, who had to revert to stripping when the school closed, due to fire!

Nice Little Clip of Margaret Nolan.

Enjoy!

June in the Bath (Video Clip)

2 comments:
After posting a recent video clip of June Palmer the Newlywed, John W was kind enough to send me his full version of 'Brides in the Bath', which runs to nearly an hour long!  Anyway I'm currently working out a way to get the whole thing hosted so I can publish it.

In the meantime as a test a little clip from it, with June taking a bath (contains some nudity if easily offended!)

Usual disclaimer applies - If you wish to share this clip, then please ask or link back to this original, otherwise it will be removed!

Three days since a Dawn Grayson post, so I better resolve that and post these two great non-nude shots of her.  I think I'm addicted to DG!

Safe Shoes Prevent Purlers!

No comments:
Another original June Palmer bit of memorabilia from John W*.  A British Safety Council poster featuring June Palmer. This is an old fax, sent from London to New York on 12th November 1966. I wonder if any of the original faxes survived?

For those that don't want neck ache, the original text on the fax read:

(WITH AMS BUDGET STORY BY EDDY GILMORE)
(NY.20-Nov.  10)--WATCH YOUR PURLEY GAIT!--The British Safety Council is mailing 20,000 factories a poster featuring pretty model June Palmer in high heeled shoes taking a tumble and the slogan: Safe Shoes Prevent Purlers. Purler is Cockney slang for falling on your rear. The Council suggests that the posters be put up on factory bulletin boards as a warning that high heels cause falls.(APWirephoto by cable from London)
(a51200pw)1966

It seems The British Safety Council had a thing for using popular models of the time on their posters, as Dawn Grayson caused quite a stir when she appeared on a poster for eye protection.

I'm really pleased to be sharing this unique images, as I think it should be shared, but please where possible if you share elsewhere link back to this original.

Margaret Nolan - Goldfinger Title Sequence

No comments:
I don't normally do GIF's, but saw this on Tumblr and as it's two of my favourite subjects I thought I'd share it!  I'm probably a bigger James Bond fan than I am 1950's & 60's vintage models, so to combine the two was too good to miss!  So here you have the opening title sequence from 'Goldfinger' cleverly broken down into 10 short clips, featuring Margaret Nolan's body as a movie screen.  I think numer 2 and number 5 clips are my personal favourites!

Who Was Doris Weems?

8 comments:
Back in June I published an article from Caper Magazine on 'Ewhurst Manor' and the owners, but noticed that the first page seemed to be missing.  I've been on the hunt for it and finally a few weeks ago found a full version of Caper Vol.9 No.4 from July 1963, which included the full article, result! I now have the first page, which is included below, but it got me thinking, who is the woman taking the photo?

Sad as it may sound I was able to identify Jayne Tracey from the rear view, but the woman taking the photo in this shot made me curious.  She also partly appears in a second shot from the same article, again with JT modelling.

Having dug around I found a further two photographs that appear to be taken at the same time at Ewhurst, but this time in colour.

With these two photographs was a name ... Doris Weems, which is new to meI've tried to find out more about her, but as of yet come up blank.  So, who was Doris Weems and what was her relationship to Harrison Marks or to Ewhurst itself?

If anyone can shed some further light on this question please do let me know?

Cheers,

Wonder

Wendy James - On Location 66

No comments:

Kamera on Location 66 was shot over 2 weeks on location at Bedruthan Beach, Cornwall in the early summer of 1966 (14th May - 28th May).  Harrison Marks used 8 models to pose on and around the beach, which was used because of it's secluded nature due to poor access.  There were 4 models the first week, which included Teri Martine, Nicky Stevens, Alicen Warden & of course Wendy James

Joanna Kent & The Psychedelic Wallpaper

No comments:

OK, It's June Palmer in another original 120 film negative image, again taken by Arthur Howell.  This time wearing a wig and depending on the colour of the wig she went by a different alias.

If the wig was strawberry blond, she was known as Joanna Kent If the wig was the black short wig she became Rachel Wells (I think I have a few!) and the silver wig she was Candy.  This looks strawberry blonde to me, so makes her Joanna Kent :)

Nice Dimples June!

Another original shot of JP taken by Arthur Howell, probably late 1960's
that I've never seen before.*  Converted from a medium format 120 film negative and all I've done to the shot is tidy up some dirt on the image and tweaked the colour (originally a sepia colour).

I'm really pleased to be sharing these unique shots, as I think they should be shared but please where possible if you share elsewhere link back to this original.
